Job Description

Pediatric ICU Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

11.5 hour shift from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM, including a 60-minute unpaid lunch.

Job Description

The Pediatric ICU is equipped with 11 beds and telemetry capability. This unit also has additional surge bed capacity, all staffed by ICU-trained professionals with the same monitoring capabilities. Nurses will be required to float, including potential assignments in the Pediatric ER.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients with varying acuity levels.
  • Support the management of respiratory failure, trauma, surgical cases, sepsis, and neurosurgical patients.
  • Monitor patient status and respond to changing needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • 3 years of nursing experience preferred.
  • Current PALS, BLS, and PCAR certifications are required.
  • BSN preferred; CCRN certification is a plus.
  • Previous travel experience is not required.
