Part-Time Psychiatrist Locums Job in New York Outpatient Substance Use Treatment Clinic

Location : New York, NY

Schedule : Part-Time, averaging 10 hours / week for maternity leave coverage starting in February 2026. Telehealth is an option.

An outpatient clinic focused on substance use treatment for women and children is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Provider to deliver high-quality mental health services to youth ages 12-22. This role includes psychiatric evaluations, medication management (including Suboxone prescribing), and therapeutic support in a collaborative, trauma-informed environment.

Responsibilities :

Provide psychiatric assessments and ongoing medication management

Prescribe medications, including Suboxone, in accordance with NYS guidelines

Deliver therapeutic interventions as needed

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support individualized care plans

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Qualifications :

NYS-licensed Psychiatrist, Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), or Physician Assistant with prescribing authority

DEA waiver (X-waiver) to prescribe Suboxone (or willingness to obtain)

Experience working with adolescents and young adults in behavioral health or substance use settings

Strong commitment to culturally competent, gender-responsive care
