Salary / Wage :

$18.91 / hr. (minimum starting wage)

Job Summary / Description :

Northern News Now is looking for a full-time Master Control Operator who is responsible for monitoring the quality and accuracy of our on-air signals as well as ensuring the transmission meets government regulations and the stations high standards.

Duties / Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Monitor multiple TV channels for on-air signals and quality control

Perform on-air switching for live events

Operate recording hardware satellite receivers and computer-based systems

Prepare and check material for on-air playback via automation system

Verify all material airing by referencing program logs

Monitor transmitter and tower lights accurately to meet FCC regulations

Anticipate and troubleshoot issues when they occur

Ability to make fast and accurate judgments

Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications / Requirements :

High School Diploma required

College production courses preferred

Previous experience with production or Master Control preferred

Strong attention to detail

Computer literate and technically oriented

Valid Drivers License and clean driving record.

Minimal Travel Required
