As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Unit in Reno, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. In this armed role, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and client policies.
  • Assist local law enforcement and emergency personnel as required during incidents occurring at the location.
  • Carry and maintain control of assigned firearm and other security-related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable regulations.
  • Remain alert to unusual activities and / or potential threats in the area, reporting observations to appropriate personnel as necessary.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
