Production Team Leader 1st Shift (6AM - 2PM)
The Team Leader will lead multiple production operations and employees and use improvement tools to lead process improvements, while removing obstacles to maintain production levels. The Team Lead will communicate to all Supervisors and Team Leads any obstacles that are affecting the process's standard work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the work of Employees assigned to work station, including directing task assignment, coverage for absences/breaks, training, quality control, and coaching on performance
- This position will learn all workstations and may be required to rotate into various workstations and/or tasks as required for coverage and training
- Team Leads regularly interact across departments to ensure safe and efficient workflow, and includes communications in person, via telephone, and via email
- Team Leads are expected to perform setup duties in various departments as needed
- Data entry into various physical or electronic systems
- Review and propose corrective actions for area failures, including quality, scrap, and productivity issues
- Team Leads serve as a backup to Supervisors in their absence
- Perform various daily and weekly audits, including Safety, Quality, LEAN/5S, and Work Instruction/SOP audits, documenting and resolving issues as required
- Lead daily Tier Meetings with production staff to communicate key priorities
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Education & Qualifications
- Perform basic functions of arithmetic/algebra; add, subtract, fractions, decimals, percentages, etc.
- Computer skill desirable in Microsoft Office Programs (excel, outlook. Etc.)
