Are you a senior level structural engineer patiently waiting for an opportunity to take on additional management responsibilities and lead an office? We have an opening for a Structural Principal Engineer in Phoenix to manage and oversee the design, development, and construction documents focusing on full scale project timelines from initial and preliminary designs through construction administration.

The ideal candidate will have existing structural management experience overseeing the design phase of private commercial buildings design projects. The projects that you will be responsible for involve commercial (retail, office, medical, educational) buildings you will over see the team performing structural design from initial / conceptual design all the way through construction documents and construction administration. You will also be responsible for client communication and outreach, client development, new project acquisition, client retention, and the assurance of accuracy in terms of budgets and project timelines.

Requirements :

• Registered Professional Engineer with a Bachelors in Engineering, Masters preferred
• 15-25 years of structural engineering experience involving commercial buildings development
• Must be able to generate and check calculations, prepare proposals, RFI's, and perform field inspections.
• Must be able to interact with existing clients and foster continued office projects growth
• Ability to be clear and concise with junior engineers and clients
