This position will be responsible for making deliveries to our retail stores as well as steel deliveries along the Wasatch Front. Drivers will be hauling and delivering steel coil, tubing and flat sheets processed in our Clearfield facility. Most of these deliveries will be between Logan, UT and Payson, UT. Day shift position, home every night!

Wage : $30.00 / hr

Required qualifications :

• Must have a valid Utah Class A CDL without a manual restriction
• A clean motor vehicle history and a driving record in good standing
• Ability to review and verify shipping and transport documentation
• Flatbed experience with knowledge of how to properly secure loads using straps, chains and binders
• Able to sit for long periods of time
• Good customer service and communication skills for interacting with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and State and DOT officials as needed
• Strong knowledge of safety and compliance regulations, attention to detail and a commitment to safety
• Thorough understanding of pre and post trip inspections to maintain safety as a number one priority. Flexible schedule. Although this is a day shift position, the start time typically ranges between 4 : 30am and 7 : 00am and can go up to 14 hours a day. This depends on work load and road conditions and changes daily,
• Will be required to complete a DOT physical abilities test administered through Lifetime's clinic and pass a pre-employment drug test
