Plan Termination Specialist

A company is looking for a Plan Termination Specialist responsible for managing the termination of employer-sponsored retirement plans.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of plan termination, including planning, communication, and execution of required actions

Ensure compliance with IRS, DOL, and ERISA regulations, including filing required forms

Coordinate and manage the distribution of plan assets to participants and beneficiaries

Required Qualifications

Strong knowledge of IRS, DOL, and ERISA regulations related to retirement plans

Preferred Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, communications, or related field

Minimum 3 years of experience in retirement plan administration, particularly in 401(k) terminations

Experience with FTW and Pension Pro preferred

Professional certifications such as QKA or APA are a plus
