As Director, you’ll lead the delivery of innovative thermal utility solutions that serve campuses, hospitals, airports, mission-critical facilities, and other energy districts across the Jacobs Energy & Power - North America business unit. You’ll guide projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable energy delivery.

In this role, you will:

• Shape market strategy and drive growth across aviation, healthcare, higher education, federal, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
• Lead client engagements, proposal development, and project execution.
• Mentor and grow a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers.

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in design, project management, consulting, construction, commissioning, or operations of thermal utility systems.
• Proven expertise in chilled water, hot water, and steam systems for large facilities or campuses.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholder relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Experience in operational leadership and team development.
• Familiarity with various construction delivery methods.
• Business financial acumen and strategic planning skills.
• Established network within the thermal utilities and mechanical engineering community.

Location: Flexible (Office-based, Remote, or Hybrid)
Salary Range: $140,800 – $210,000

Posted Salary Range: Minimum 140,800.00 Posted Salary Range: Upper 210,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $140,800.00 to $210,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
