Get to Know Your Team:

• BSA Harrington Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art, 48,-square-foot facility with two new linear accelerators for radiation treatments, 24 patient exam rooms, 28 heated chemotherapy infusion chairs and three private infusion rooms for families.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for administering high quality ionizing radiation therapy treatments to patients.
• Evaluates and assesses treatment delivery components while accurately positions the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated treatment volume delivering a prescribed course of radiation therapy for curative intent or to improve the quality of life.
• Maintains values aligning with professional code of ethicalconduct and scope of practice while adhering to national, state, institutional/department practice standards and policies/procedures.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Associate Degree
• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program
• ARRT certification in Radiological Therapy
• Texas- Medical Radiologic Technologist – General Certificate

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• One year experience as a radiation therapist, but candidates finished with accredited training registered or registry are eligible.
