Position : Registered Nurse

Shift :

6 : 00 AM - 2 : 30 PM or 6 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM

Schedule : 4 x 10-hour shifts with every other weekend required. No holiday requirement for the first 13 weeks. Holiday requirement may apply if the contract is extended. No on-call or float requirements.

Job Summary :

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role includes planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patients' needs.

Key Responsibilities :

Identify patient needs and determine care priorities through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care based on initial and ongoing assessments.

Initiate assessments based on patient problems, physician medical diagnoses, and functional health frameworks.

Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care.

Document care following established standards based on patient acuity and clinical priorities.

Advocate for evidence-based practice standards, supporting the adoption of innovative care delivery practices.

Provide patient-centered care according to a professional nursing practice model.

Fulfill additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications :

Minimum 1 year of experience in an outpatient dialysis center, specifically in hemodialysis.

Knowledge of the Fresenius T Machine and portable reverse osmosis (RO) systems.

Experience with dialysis documentation, including care plans, monthly nursing notes, foot checks, and medication reviews.

Preferred Qualifications :

2 years of experience in outpatient hemodialysis.

Prior telemetry and chronic hemodialysis experience is highly valued.

Able to manage an assignment of 3 patients for initial setup and removal, as well as oversee 9 patients with 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) for medication administration and assessment.

Education Requirements :

Required : Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)

Preferred : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Certifications & Licensure :

Required : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.

Required : New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
