Chemical Patent Partner

We are working exclusively with an IP boutique law firm to find a Chemical Patent Partner. THIS IS 100% REMOTE POSITION and can sit anywhere in the US. Our client is known for advising clients in the chemical and petrochemical industries on chemicals, polymers, catalysts and chemical and refining processes. This role is perfect for a partner at a small or medium sized law firm who is looking to grow their book of business as this partner will take over some of the firm's existing clients. The preferred book of business for this partner role is between $200k-$500k.

Our client only works in patent prosecution, patent drafting, and trademark prosecution. They provide a very collaborative environment and it is a place that puts great importance on being a good person. You will not find any screamers at this firm. The firm's support staff is extremely experienced and provides the foundation for the firm to provide excellent client service.

The required skills and experience are the following :

• Partner in current role with 15-30 years of patent prosecution and patent drafting experience at a law firm and in-house; with the most recent role at a law firm
• PhD or MS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• JD from an accredited law school
• USPTO license and a law license from one of the US jurisdictions

Base compensation is between $200k-300k with benefits and 401k match. The firm also highly encourages all its employees to take 3 weeks vacation a year.
