Job Description : As a Product Developer with Moret Group, you will play a key role in supporting production for a high-volume account in the mass-market space. You will also assist in design, development, and client-facing projects on an as-needed basis. We are looking for someone who already has a solid foundation of knowledge, but there is room to learn and grow into this role for the right candidate. You will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience working with overseas teams, bolster your knowledge on the development and production process, and train into Browzwear / Vstitcher.
Responsibilities :
- Manage bulk fabric quality approvals
- Manage trim quality and color approvals
- Maintain development and production books of fabrics and trim approvals for each season
- Assist with tracking and organizing incoming and outgoing development samples
- Prepare color cards and lab dip charts for internal and external use
- Assist in preparing pitch decks and samples for client presentations
- Assist in seasonal market research
- Managing style code and virtual color file directories
- Stitching garments in 3D for pre-production and grade approval as-needed
- Updating production CADs as-needed
Minimum Qualifications :
Degree in fashion / apparel focus OR comparable knowledge / experienceKnowledgeable about fabric and garment constructionWorking knowledge of activewear market landscapeBasic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator requiredExcellent color vision / acuity requiredWorking knowledge of overseas product development processDetail-oriented with excellent organizational skillsSelf-sufficient and able to work independently or as part of a groupWillingness to learn Browzwear / VstitcherPreferred Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in activewear product development1-3 years of experience with overseas productionExperience with mass market price pointExperience with Datacolor / SpectrophotometerExperience in Browzwear or CLO3DKnowledgeable about sustainable apparel landscapeAdditional Information :
This is a full-time opportunityThe position will be based in New York City- Midtown ManhattanHybrid - this position allows for one day a week of remote work (dependent on the needs of the week)
