Nurse Navigator

The Nurse Navigator functions to provide access to quality care for cancer patients / families. This is accomplished through expert oncology nursing practice in the areas of care giving, coordination, consultation, education, and research. The Nurse Navigator, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, assists patients along the continuum of care from abnormal findings, diagnosis, and through survivorship. The navigator will serve as a clinical resource with expertise in oncology care management while also providing guidance to the patient related to scheduling appointments, removing access related barriers including insurance and transportation, and answering clinical care related questions.

Education : Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required; Master's Degree Nursing Preferred.

Experience : 5 years experience in nursing with 2 years in nursing oncology required; 1 year experience as an oncology nurse case manager or patient navigator preferred.

Licenses : PA Registered Nurse License Required; OCN - Oncology Cert Nurse Preferred.
