American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring an AL or compact RN license and at least 2 years of OR experience.

Job Details

  • Work in a hospital surgery department with a 23-bed OR,
  • Day shift, 12-hour shifts, with a requirement to work every other weekend,
  • Float within skillset as needed,
  • No on-call requirement,
  • Patient care is 1 : 1 in the OR,
  • Handles general, ortho, neuro, urology, plastics, maxillofacial, ENT, robotic, and CVOR cases,
  • Uses Cerner for charting and documentation,

Job Requirements

  • Active AL or compact state RN license,
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification,
  • Minimum of 2 years recent OR RN experience,
  • Experience with a variety of surgical case types preferred,
  • Proficiency with Cerner EMR preferred,

    • Additional Information

  • Navy blue scrubs are required,
  • Team provides support for specialized surgical procedures,
  • Applicant may be required to float within their skillset to support other areas,
  • Position requires coverage every other weekend,
