- Base compensation is determined by qualifications, skills, experience, and training.

Unit Overview : Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , providing care for a complex patient population including :
Post-operative cases such as craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections.Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Patients with hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program .A high volume of cervical and spinal patients alongside medical overflow cases.Be part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , where you will engage with the latest neurosurgical techniques and advanced patient care.

Use the nursing process to assess patient needs and implement personalized interventions, involving patients and families in care plans.Recognize and respond to significant changes in patients’ conditions and collaborate to adjust care plans accordingly.Implement patient safety strategies and coordinate effective discharge planning.Ensure compliance with nursing and regulatory standards while utilizing evidence-based practices.Evaluate patient outcomes continuously and engage in initiatives for quality improvement.Communicate effectively within the healthcare team and support a culture of safety.Participate in professional development and mentorship programs to enhance your skills and contribute to team growth.Demonstrate age-appropriate care knowledge and skills.Licensure and Certification Requirements :
Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).Education Requirements :
Completion of an accredited Nursing program.Experience Requirements :
1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :
Ability to provide holistic patient care with a family-centered approach.Capability to respond confidently and flexibly to unanticipated clinical situations.Proficient in computer use, including electronic medical records.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
