As an Access Control Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will welcome drivers and employees, verify credentials, manage entry and exit using a computer or tablet, and document security-related activity. You will remain highly visible at gates and checkpoints to help to deter incidents, support loss prevention goals, and deliver a customer-first experience. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at entry points by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or shipping documentation, issuing temporary badges, and directing traffic to approved areas in accordance with post orders.
• Monitor and log inbound and outbound activity including trucks, trailers, and packages, and report suspicious or unauthorized activity to site leadership in a timely manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and coordinating with emergency services when required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, inspecting doors, gates, and loading areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and a rustic guard shack.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
