Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details : \n

Work three 12-hour shifts with three weekend shifts per schedule period

Care for patients on 6 East Ortho / Trauma unit with 23 beds

Maintain patient ratios of 1 : 4 to 1 : 5

Work with specialized equipment including traction, fixators, and cooling equipment

Use Meditech documentation system

Provide care for post-operative knee, hip, and shoulder replacement patients

Care for trauma patients and some neurology overflow patients

Perform bedside shift reports and hourly rounding as part of patient experience requirements

Float to other Med Surg level of care units including General MS, Nephrology, and Neuro / Trauma

Work alongside unit secretary and PCTs for comprehensive patient support

Required uniform : Navy scrubs

Must have RN license and BLS certification

Orthopedic experience, telemetry, and NIH stroke scale experience preferred

Contract labor is first to float when needed
