Strong understanding of the structural steel fabrication industry and its procurement processes. Proven track record of effectively managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams. Proficiency in purchasing software and Microsoft Office Suite. Purchasing Manager (Structural Steel Fabrication)
A structural steel and miscellaneous metal fabricator is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Purchasing Manager to join their team. As the Purchasing Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient procurement of materials necessary for our structural steel fabrication projects.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee all aspects of the purchasing process, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to determine material requirements and ensure timely delivery.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and stay informed about industry trends and pricing.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize purchasing processes and reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and standards.
