As aService Technician youll be at the heart of what we do : diagnosing repairing and maintainingCaterpillarhydraulic components in the shop. Whether its a final drive transmission or torque converter youll use your skills and experience to deliver top-tier service that keeps our customers moving. You will work in the shop servicing and performing :

  • Diagnosticsand repair on various heavy equipment components includingCaterpillar drive-train components and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform routine and complex repairs inspect and maintain equipment andrebuildcomponents to ensure optimal performance.
  • Additional duties include maintaining detailed service records collaborating with fellow technicians on complex repairs and adhering to all safety protocols within the shop environment.

COMPETENCIES :

  • Proficient reading and writing skills
  • Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar component lines listed above
  • In-depth knowledge of Caterpillar component applications operations and functions
  • Skilled in using Caterpillar diagnostic tools (Electronic Technician Service Information System)
  • Expertise in diagnostic testing adjustment and troubleshooting procedures

    • JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

  • High School Diploma or GED is required along with completion of a technical school program (minimum 2 years) focused on diesel or power equipment systems plus at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on mechanical repair experience with diesel earthmoving or industrial equipment and components.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Lifting / Carrying 40 lb. Lift / Carry and 50lb pulling
  • Standing / Sitting Up and down stairs standing sitting and climbing into machines
  • Dexterity Normal
  • Repetitive Motions : Frequent movement requiring hands wrists and fingers.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
