About The Position

Description :

A Medical Center is seeking a Locum-to-Perm Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery to provide coverage on a 2-week on / 2-week off rotation. The role includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, with training and support provided.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Provide care in Cardiothoracic Surgery (100% Adult).
  • Perform inpatient (75%) and outpatient (25%) duties.
  • Cover weekend rounds (2 weekends per month) with 5–10 patients per round.
  • Participate in night call coverage (7 nights per week).
  • Support the surgical team in both pre- and post-operative care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible – Required
  • Relevant training and experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery – Required
  • Active Virginia License – Required
  • Active DEA License – Required
