Administrative Specialist
Hawai'i Pacific University invites applications for an Administrative Specialist. The position will provide specific support for accredited programs in the College of Liberal Arts and oversee the administrative operations of these programs. Administrative support includes assisting with operations related to maintenance of accreditation and reaccreditation; collection and archiving of data related to program operations; co and extracurricular events assistance; administrative support to program faculty and staff. In addition, the position will oversee and coordinate financial processes for all programs across the College of Liberal Arts including contracts for regular and special appointment faculty; stipends; vendor payments; purchase requisitions; FLACS; special contracts.
Compensation : $41,000 - $50,000 per year commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications. This is a full-time onsite position with no remote work possible.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree OR five years of administrative experience in a university setting
- One (1) year of general administrative office experience
- Experience and / or understanding of higher education environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Ability to maintain strict levels of discretion and confidentiality

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Provides daily administrative support as required for School of Social Work and Department of PsychologyAssists with data collection and archiving of data for CSWE and APA accreditation purposesAssists School of Social Work and Department of Psychology faculty with co and extra-curricular eventsManages financial processes for College of Liberal Arts and all of its departments and programs including but not limited to : faculty and adjunct regular and overload contracts; stipends; special contracts; honoraria; vendor contractsActively participate as an effective member of a team by completing assigned duties and accepting additional assignments or reassignmentsAssists with seasonal peaksThis description is not designed to list all activities, duties or responsibilities which may be required for this job.
