Position : Quality Assurance Technician
Position Details
- Compensation : $21 / hour
- Benefits : PTO, Medical, Dental, Short-Term Disability, Life Insurance, and 401(k)
- Perks : Free bag of produce every other week
- Shift : 2nd Shift
Schedule : Monday–Friday, 12 : 00 PM to end of shift (must be able to stay until work is completed)
Essential Functions
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our fresh cut products meet the highest standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities include :
Supporting and maintaining food safety and quality assurance systemsMonitoring production lines for compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standardsConducting sanitation inspections and environmental / allergen swabbingCollecting environmental, microbial, and product samplesTitrating PAA wash water levels; checking scale, thermometer, and metal detector functionalityAccurately documenting and reporting quality dataCommunicating with production supervisors and managers regarding product issuesIdentifying and escalating non-conformancesVerifying proper labeling, packaging, and product specificationsAssisting with internal audits and third-party inspectionsParticipating in root cause analysis and corrective actionsSupporting quality and food safety training for production staffMaintaining calibration and verification records for QA equipmentCollaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes and reduce wasteRequired Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectivelyBasic English writing and communication skillsComfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)Reliable, accountable, and a strong team playerWillingness to be cross-trained within the QA teamPreferred Qualifications
Previous experience in food production or manufacturingBackground in quality assurance or regulatory complianceHACCP, PCQI, or SQF certificationBilingual skills (Spanish, Somali, etc.)High school diploma or higher educationPhysical Requirements
Ability to work in a cold environment (34–42°ree;F) – PPE providedWet floors and surfaces – waterproof boots provided and requiredAbility to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs as neededQualified applicants will be considered for this exciting and rewarding opportunity with a successful, growing Minneapolis company.
