Payroll Administrator

Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team in Hayward, California. This role requires expertise in handling multi-state payroll processes for both union and non-union employees. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adept at managing complex payroll systems, and capable of ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.

Responsibilities :

• Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for approximately 700 employees across multiple locations.
• Manage payroll functions for unionized employees, ensuring compliance with union agreements and regulations.
• Handle multi-state payroll operations, adhering to state-specific guidelines and requirements.
• Utilize payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now and UKG Pro to accurately process payroll.
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll-related discrepancies and inquiries.
• Maintain detailed payroll records and reports for auditing and compliance purposes.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Assist with special payroll-related projects, including system upgrades or process improvements.
• Develop and implement efficient payroll processes to optimize accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries and concerns. Requirements - A minimum of five years of experience managing multi-state payroll operations.
• Proven ability to handle payroll for unionized employees, including understanding union agreements.
• Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now and UKG Pro.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with payroll compliance regulations across various states.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with employees and internal teams.
• Experience processing payroll for organizations with 100-500 employees.
