IT Project Manager
Serves as IT Project Manager for large-scale information systems. Analyze projects and reports performance for Medical Systems and division leadership. Plans and manages complex IT projects involving interrelated disciplines and multiple stages of the systems development lifecycle, ensuring projects are implemented by the baseline plan. Defines, documents, and tests requirements for large-scale information systems, and reviews the impact of new system design policies and processes. Responsible for all assigned programs from initiation to closing, managing project scope, cost, and time while actively controlling risk, communications, and quality. Manages and presents briefings and recommendations on short / long-range project plans, quality improvement, and risk management to senior management, and recommends improvements to organizational processes, procedures and strategies. Functions as a tester and trainer / mentor for internal and external program users.

Basic Requirement for IT Project Manager (PLCYPLN) : Specialized and Other Experience : One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Managing large-scale IT programs, from initiation to closing, 2) Analyzing and reporting project performance for Medical Systems, 3) Developing solutions to solve problems and ensure program / mission accomplishment, and 4) Developing and presenting briefings and recommendations on short / long-range project plans, quality improvement, and risk management to senior management.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade / level position in the federal service NH-03. The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and / or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies :
