Job Summary
This position is considered Flexible / Rotation. Employee will work on a rotational schedule to ensure on-site coverage of key IT functions.
The MuleSoft Systems Integration Engineer leads the design, development, implementation, maintenance and support of real time integration and interfaces between the applications at UCSF Health, Benioff Children's Hospitals and our affiliates integrated systems that support patient care, medical faculty, clinical staff, administrative staff and departments, and information services. Works under the direction of the Integration Services Manager and is the expert of data integration in healthcare. Possesses advanced knowledge of interfaces, healthcare IT systems and the operational workflows. Key technical abilities includes the gathering of information from users and defining work problems then translating these requirement into a integration solutions. In addition, the Systems Integration Engineer will provide support of existing interfaces and will assist in providing innovative integrated solutions to UCSF Health, Benioff Children's Hospitals and our partners.
The MuleSoft Systems Integration Engineer functions as the expert of integration solutions and assists departments in solving their integration needs. Successful candidate enjoys matching solutions with problems and is excited to share their expertise with the team and departments that seeks their assistance. They are a team player, enjoys collaborating with others and is highly motivated to help UCSF fulfil our larger mission. They follow IT policy and procedures and will assist in improving processes and documentation. The ideal candidate will focus on developing new systems integration using MuleSoft ESB and API Manager and has experience using multiple technologies to develop business critical systems in a distributed architecture. In addition to integration background and expertise, strong communication and positive collaboration are critical skills needed for this position.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors, including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $113,800 - $242,800 (Annual Rate).

Department Description
UCSF IT Integration Services is the central group that provides integration solutions across the UCSF enterprise and beyond. We provide the integration platforms and expertise in order to build robust, reusable and cost efficient interfaces for reliable data sharing and exchange between applications, platforms and services.
We serve UCSF Health, UCSF Campus, Benioff Children's Hospitals and affiliates. For many years we have worked with the UCSF Health providing integration solutions through Epic Bridges and Cloverleaf interface engine, which excels at Health Level-7 (HL7) messaging between healthcare systems. In addition, to accommodate broader integration solutions, we also provide an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and API Manager.
The Integration Services team builds new integrations from scratch, reuses existing integration solutions, enhance existing integrations, or provide consulting to help achieve integration needs.
