Job Duties - Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patients' needs and design individualized therapy strategies to help them achieve their functional objectives
- Implement Evidence-Based Interventions: Employ well-researched methodologies to enhance patients' motor abilities, cognitive functions, and activities of daily living
- Collaborate with Multi-Disciplinary Teams: Work closely with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nursing staff to ensure holistic and comprehensive patient care
- Educate Patients and Families: Provide instruction to patients and their caregivers on therapy techniques that promote continued progress outside of therapy sessions
- Monitor and Document Progress: Keep track of clinical outcomes and modify treatment plans as necessary to keep patients on the path to success
Education Requirements - Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational institution
- Encouraged participation in continuing education and post-graduate certifications
Mandatory Certifications - Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- Required certification from NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)
