Verovian Healthcare Recruitment Agency is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - ICU to join the dynamic team in Spokane, Washington.

As an RN in the ICU, you will play a critical role in caring for patients with severe and life-threatening conditions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor patient progress, and provide support to patients and their families.

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to identify changes in condition and respond appropriately.
• Utilize advanced monitoring equipment and technologies to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
• Educate patients and their families about the patient's condition, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control protocols to enhance patient safety.
• Support and mentor junior nursing staff and nursing students in their clinical practice.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to discuss patient care progress and discharge planning.

Candidate requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) considered with relevant experience.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent nursing experience in an ICU or critical care setting.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are required.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to make critical decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of current ICU best practices, standards of care, and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and healthcare technology.
