Agawam manufacturing company currently looking for an

Accounting Assistant

to join our finance team. Candidate would support accounting operations by filing, running software programs, entering accounts payables & receivables. Supports other departments by performing administrative tasks such as filing documents, organizing electronic files, and sorting & assembling forms & documents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processes AP vouchers
  • Posts customer payments
  • Maintains accounting records by making copies and filing documents
  • Reconciles vendor statements
  • Submits invoices to customer portals
  • Prepares and distributes reports as needed
  • Provides back up receptionist and AP support as needed
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required

Schedule : 1st shift : 8am-4pm Monday through Friday

Pay : $20-25 / hr based on experience

Must be able to read, write and speak English.

You should be proficient in :

  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
