Chief Talent Alchemist - Senior Recruitment Professional within the Art Market

Join a National Auction House near San Francisco as a Senior Fine Art Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with high-value artworks, prestigious collectors, and top-tier clients in one of the worlds most vibrant art markets.

Note this client will provide relocation support.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Appraising, cataloging, and managing consignments of fine art pieces
  • Building and maintaining relationships with private collectors, galleries, and institutions
  • Leading valuation days and participating in client outreach initiatives
  • Preparing condition reports and provenance research
  • Writing compelling catalog entries and marketing descriptions
  • Collaborating with the marketing team for promotion of auctions and private sales
  • Representing the auction house at art fairs, events, and gallery openings
  • Coordinating closely with logistics for handling, transport, and storage of fine art
  • Delivering expert opinions to support client buying and selling decisions
  • Working with international specialists for cross-category valuations
  • Supporting business development and securing high-value consignments
  • Staying informed on market trends and shifts in the art industry

What Were Looking For

  • In-depth knowledge of modern, contemporary, or classical art
  • Excellent network of collectors, dealers, and galleries
  • Proven ability to secure and manage high-value consignments
  • Experience working for an auction house, gallery, or museum preferred
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
