What Youll Do :

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Building Engineer to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our properties. This role involves a diverse range of responsibilities from routine upkeep to addressing maintenance requests and potential emergency situations. The ideal candidate will be proactive detail-oriented and possess a strong understanding of building systems and maintenance best practices. This position reports directly to the Property and Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct regular property visits to assess condition and identify maintenance needs.
• Perform general site upkeep including trash clean-up and ensuring proper placement of dumpsters.
• Monitor properties for damage and address issues such as graffiti removal and cover-up.
• Collect and report stray shopping carts and report any instances of vagrancy on property.
• Potential Travel : Be available for occasional travel to various locations including California Arizona NYE County and Mesquite to address work orders.
• Perform plumbing repairs and installations including faucets water heaters pipe repair and other service-related tasks.
• Execute landscape repairs and general maintenance.
• Identify and repair water leaks effectively.
• Conduct lighting repairs and installations including proficiency in using a multimeter.
• Perform HVAC maintenance tasks such as filter changes and coil cleanings.
• Undertake roof cleanings and minor repairs.
• Complete interior and exterior painting projects.
• Assist with furniture moving and assembly as needed.
• Replace and repair ceiling tiles.
• Respond to on-call building needs on an emergency basis (infrequent).
