Job Summary
OWM Wellness is seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Lead – LPN to oversee daily operations of the clinical care team and ensure seamless, high-quality delivery of services within our integrative medicine environment. In addition to traditional LPN duties, this leadership role will be responsible for supervising clinical support staff (RNs, phlebotomists, medical assistants, CNAs, and other care team members), optimizing workflows, ensuring compliance with clinical standards, and facilitating excellent patient experiences.
This role requires strong clinical knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Clinical Leadership & Staff Oversight
- Directly supervise and coordinate daily activities of the clinical support staff.
- Allocate tasks across the clinical team to ensure efficient patient care and operational coverage.
- Monitor performance, provide coaching and support, and escalate any issues to leadership as appropriate.
- Lead daily clinical huddles to align on priorities, patient needs, and workflow expectations.
- Ensure staff compliance with protocols, documentation standards, and infection control procedures.
- Act as a liaison between providers and support staff to ensure clinical excellence and timely communication.
2. Patient Triage and Clinical Support
Greet and escort patients to treatment rooms, review and update medical history, and record vital signs.Prepare patients for medical procedures and examinations before physician’s evaluation / treatment.Support clinicians during medical consultations, examinations and procedures, including room setup, obtaining consents, in-putting recommended labs, supplements, medications during patient visits, and assisting in patient education.Prepare PRP / Stem cell products and assist with IV therapies and injections as needed.Conduct post-procedure follow-up and provide aftercare instructions.Ensure treatment rooms are cleaned, stocked, and ready between patients.Monitor and manage clinical inventory and supplies proactively.3. Administrative and Operational Support
Assist with scheduling, chart prep, and lab / test tracking for efficient patient flow.Ensure EMR documentation is accurate and timely across all clinical touchpoints.Monitor equipment function, coordinate maintenance, and ensure proper storage conditions (e.g., fridges, freezers).Support onboarding and training of new clinical staff.Competencies
Proven leadership and team coordination skills in a healthcare environment.Strong foundational knowledge of IV therapy, phlebotomy, and patient assessment.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration across departments.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain composure in high-volume settings.Proficiency in EMR systems and familiarity with scheduling, documentation, and inventory tools.Supervisory Responsibilities
Provides day-to-day direction to clinical support staff.Collaborates with Clinical Operations Manager for performance evaluations and training needs.Acts as the point of escalation for clinical workflow issues and immediate staff needs.Work Environment & Physical Demands
Fast-paced integrative medicine office environment.Requires regular standing, walking, lifting (up to 25 lbs), and frequent interaction with patients and staff.Travel Required
None.Preferred Education & Experience
Required : Active NYS LPN License and current CPR certification.Preferred : BSN or supervisory experience in an outpatient or integrative care setting.2–3 years in a clinical role with demonstrated leadership capability and IV therapy proficiency.Equal Employment Opportunity
