Shuka , led by Chef / Partner Ayesha Nurdjaja, is looking to meet passionate candidates for  ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER.   With the holiday season here and 2026 just around the corner, we are looking to the New Year as we grow our teams and want to meet you now.

Every dish bursts with layered, nuanced flavors, crafted with responsibly sourced ingredients from local farms and the greenmarket. We proudly serve lunch, dinner, and brunch. Celebrated for its bold, abundant style of dining, Shuka set the stage as the inspiration for its sister restaurant, Shukette.

Chef Ayesha brings her dynamic perspective and love of shareable dishes, shaped by her extensive travels and culinary roots. About the Role - We are seeking an ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER to help lead our team and deliver exceptional hospitality. The AGM works closely with the General Manager, guiding both service and operations to ensure a dining experience that reflects our values : seasonal food, warm hospitality, and a vibrant neighborhood atmosphere.

What You’ll Do

• Support and inspire the front-of-house team with training, coaching, and accountability.
• Anticipate guest needs, engage with regulars and high-profile guests, and build new guest relationships.
• Liaise with culinary teams to support smooth service during high-volume shifts and maintain ticket-time standards.
• Oversee reservations and floor management, ensuring thoughtful service flow and special event execution.
• Contribute to financial and operational goals : scheduling, inventory, reporting, and vendor management.
• Uphold standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and DOH compliance.
• Support company projects and initiatives that strengthen our restaurants and our people.
