Area Sales Manager
Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, the Area Sales Manager will be responsible for leading a team of professional salespeople to achieve and exceed company goals. The Area Sales Manager will direct the team's focus, set goals, review data, motivate and create growth opportunities within the team and continue to develop a winning culture.
Responsibilities include :
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.
- Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company's customer base and ensure its strong presence.
- Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance, monitoring of sales representatives.
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting relationships by partnering with sales team and understanding what they need to become successful.
- Identify areas of growth within current customer base as well as develop new business.
- Leadership Skills : Motivate team members, working with them to set and meet sales goals. resolve conflicts.
- Analytical Skills : Take sales numbers and analyze them to find opportunities for growth.
- Customer Service : The ability to speak with dissatisfied customers and resolve issues.
- Communication Skills : Ability to be a good listener and speaker, to help customers and employees understand your direction and recommendations. Both verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to communicate and work with other department leads.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain and promote workplace safety
- Securing and transferring cash or other assets.
Qualifications include :
Minimum 5 years' experience in Sales Management in a highly competitive market; prior success selling wholesale auto parts particularly in aftermarket industry preferred.Bachelor's degree preferred.Experience in prospecting new business and closing sales with installers, fleets, municipalities and car dealerships a plus.Formal education in sales / technical related area highly desirable.Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).Time management with ability to multitask a plus.Strong organizational and project management skills.Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.Position requires an individual with an outgoing and assertive personality to take initiative, be pro-active, be very positive, and have a "can-do / seize-the-day" type attitude.Results focused, producer, and committed to growth.Must be proficient in Google Applications in addition to some Microsoft Office products like Word and Excel.Bilingual in Spanish would be a plus.General automotive knowledge helpful.Some of the benefits of being a part of our growing Parts Authority family :
