The role : The Senior Manager of Finance will report to the Director of Finance and support the Networking Technology Solutions Group (NTSG) as Business Unit (BU) Controller. This position serves as the key business partner to the BU General Manager and leadership team, providing financial leadership, insight, and strategic support to drive performance and achieve business objectives. This is a prominent position within AMD's Datacenter Finance organization and is critical to the success of the NTSG business.

The person : We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented leader with a strong bias for action and a proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional communication skills and a collaborative mindset, effectively managing multiple priorities. This individual is expected to provide strong leadership, confidently make recommendations, and build robust partnerships across the BU, Finance and other organizations within the company.

Key responsibilities :

• Serve as the primary finance partner to the Business Unit General Manager, delivering data-driven insights, financial guidance, and decision support.
• Partner with NTSG leadership to shape business strategy, prioritize opportunities, and translate insights into financial plans that optimize resources.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, program management, and operations to ensure alignment between financial objectives and business priorities.
• Oversee end-to-end financial management for the Business Unit, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis; communicate plans and actuals to corporate finance.
• Drive accuracy, timeliness, and transparency in financial reporting and key performance metrics.
• Monitor revenue, margins, and operating expenses to ensure the BU meets or exceeds financial targets.
• Support long-range financial planning, modeling, and scenario analysis to guide strategic decisions.
• Ensure strong internal controls and adherence to company financial policies and accounting standards.
• Partner with Corporate Finance, Accounting, and other BU Finance teams to ensure alignment and consistency in reporting.
