Stipend Pay: $650.00

Job Summary:

Aspen Ridge Preparatory School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Coach to support our athletic programs. The Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach to develop student-athletes, foster teamwork, and promote sportsmanship in alignment with our school’s mission and values. This position requires strong leadership, communication skills, and a passion for mentoring young athletes. The position may become available as needed, and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, training sessions, and game strategies.
• Provide individual and team instruction to enhance player development and performance.
• Support and enforce team rules, policies, and expectations.
• Promote a positive and inclusive team environment that aligns with Aspen Ridge Preparatory School’s core values.
• Supervise athletes during practices, games, and team activities to ensure safety and adherence to guidelines.
• Assist in maintaining and organizing athletic equipment and facilities.
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and school administration.
• Serve as a role model, fostering sportsmanship, discipline, and respect among team members.

Qualifications:

• Prior coaching or playing experience in the specific sport is preferred.
• Knowledge of fundamental techniques, rules, and strategies of the sport.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with coaches, staff, and students.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Must pass a background check in accordance with school policies.

Work Schedule:

• Seasonal position, with practices and games scheduled in the afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends.
• Specific hours vary depending on the sport and season.

Compensation:

• Stipend-based, dependent on experience and sport assignment.
