Cardiology Physician Job Details

Location : Idaho Falls, ID (Idaho healthcare jobs)

Assignment Type : Locum Tenens Physician (Travel Contract)

Specialty : Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery (CVT Surgery), Cardiology

Start Date : November 1, 2025

End Date : April 18, 2026

Duration : 24 weeks

Shift : 24-hour call shifts (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 AM)

EMR : Meditech

Support Staff : First-assistant (NP / PA), two surgical techs, RN circulator, anesthesiologist, ICU and step-down nursing staff

Key Dates Needed : December 18 – December 21 (availability required)

Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon Qualifications

Current and unrestricted Idaho medical license (Idaho physician jobs)

DEA and CSR certifications

American Board of Thoracic Surgery Certification (required)

Proven competency in adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases

Experience with open heart procedures, including CABG and aortic dissections

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery

Ability to work 24-hour call shifts and provide daily inpatient rounding

Cardiology Physician Responsibilities

Provide 24 / 7 call coverage for cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases

Perform open heart surgeries, including CABG and aortic dissections

Conduct daily inpatient rounding and collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical and nursing team

Document patient care using Meditech EMR

Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients in a clinical setting
