Warehouse Coordinator

Job Summary :

We are seeking a motivated and organized Warehouse Coordinator to join our dynamic logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods through our distribution center. The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing inventory levels, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. You will work closely with management to implement operational strategies, improve processes, and ensure timely order fulfillment. This position requires a proactive individual with strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse management systems and a solid understanding of logistics principles. You will also be responsible for training new team members and ensuring adherence to all company policies and safety regulations. This role involves significant interaction with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve issues and optimize performance.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping.
• Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Coordinate with transportation carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments.
• Ensure all warehouse activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing.
• Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Train and supervise warehouse staff, ensuring they are proficient in their roles and follow safety protocols.
• Respond to and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Prepare reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and shipping activities.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all team members.
• Responsible for Lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications :

Previous experience in a warehouse coordination or supervisory role preferred. Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in WMS software. Commitment to safety and a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures. Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting heavy objects and working in various temperature conditions. Must be able to work flexible hours as needed.
