The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist / Analyst to become the founding member of our data function. This role will be instrumental in building Geviti's data infrastructure, generating actionable insights, and laying the foundation for predictive analytics and machine learning capabilities.

You'll start by establishing the core data systems and analytics frameworks that power our decision-making, and evolve toward enabling advanced AI applications that directly support our mission of optimizing human health and performance.

This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role for someone who thrives in early-stage environments and wants to make a tangible impact on both product and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Data Infrastructure & Engineering

  • Architect and build a scalable data warehouse / lakehouse environment on cloud infrastructure
  • Restructure and optimize database schemas for analytical efficiency and BI tool integration
  • Design and implement ETL / ELT pipelines to consolidate data from multiple internal and external sources
  • Establish data quality monitoring, validation, and governance frameworks
  • Maintain clear documentation, data dictionaries, and lineage tracking

Analytics & Business Intelligence

  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards tracking key business metrics (engagement, retention, CAC, LTV, operational efficiency)
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses into patient behavior, subscription patterns, and engagement drivers
  • Create segmentation models to identify high-value cohorts and at-risk populations
  • Design and analyze A / B tests to evaluate product and marketing performance
  • Translate complex business questions into clear, actionable insights

    • Data Science & AI Enablement

  • Build predictive models for patient engagement, retention, and churn forecasting
  • Support AI / RAG initiatives by preparing training datasets and evaluation pipelines
  • Develop operational models to enhance efficiency across clinical and business workflows
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate data-driven intelligence into platform features

    • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering on API integrations and scalable infrastructure
  • Work closely with product, operations, and clinical teams to define success metrics and instrument analytics
  • Enable self-service analytics through modern BI platforms and stakeholder training
  • Uphold HIPAA compliance and best practices for PHI data handling

    • Key Qualifications

    Technical Expertise

  • 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or data engineering
  • Expert-level SQL skills, including schema design and query optimization
  • Strong proficiency in Python for analysis, scripting, and model development
  • Proven experience building or managing cloud-based data warehouses / lakehouses
  • Familiarity with modern BI tools and visualization platforms
  • Solid understanding of ETL / ELT patterns, workflow orchestration, and data quality processes

  • Deep statistical foundation and experience designing experiments
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into measurable data solutions
  • Experience with product and customer analytics
  • Strong communication skills-able to make data meaningful for non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-starter mindset with comfort operating independently and building systems from the ground up

  • Experience in healthcare or healthtech environments
  • Knowledge of FHIR standards or healthcare data models
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and secure data handling
  • Exposure to ML frameworks (classification, regression, time-series, RAG)
  • Cloud certifications or real-time analytics experience
  • Prior experience as a founding or first data hire
