Phlebotomist

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Phlebotomist to support our government customer located in Silver Spring, Maryland . The hours are 6 : 00am - 2 : 30pm.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Responsible for the collection and handling of blood specimens and related assessment of volunteer safety used in diagnosing and tracking illnesses, drug testing, clinical trials, or other health-related areas requiring a blood sample.
• Prepare lab tube requirements and associated paperwork for next-day visits, ensuring all required documents are present and the correct version.
• Provide a written monthly update report of any issues or concerns involving the laboratory, freezer storage, or phlebotomy operations (equipment, supplies), and status of or issues involving CLIA / CLP certifications.
• Other duties as assigned.
