Director of Nursing

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our team of healthcare professionals in providing exceptional care to our residents at our Cedar Rapids facility. As the DON, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the nursing department and ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans for residents
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to nursing care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall delivery of care

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations and survey process
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team
