The Dell Medical School is seeking a Health Access Partner - Women's Health.
Purpose
The Health Access Partner is responsible for coordinating and scheduling patient appointments, ensuring efficient patient flow and optimal use of clinical resources. This role typically reports to the Patient Access Manager and works closely with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff. Peer roles include Patient Access Representatives. The Health Access Partner plays a vital role in enhancing patient satisfaction and operational efficiency by managing appointment schedules, verifying insurance information, and communicating with patients regarding their appointments
Responsibilities
Schedule Patient Appointments
Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments.
Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure availability.
Manage and prioritize appointment requests based on urgency.
Patient Communication
Communicate appointment details, changes, and cancellations to patients.
Answer patient inquiries regarding appointment schedules.
Provide information about clinic services and procedures.
Insurance Verification
Verify patient insurance information prior to appointments.
Communicate with insurance companies to confirm coverage.
Ensure accurate billing and collections.
Maintain Patient Records
Update and manage patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
Generate reports on appointment statistics and patient flow.
Coordinate with Clinical Staff
Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to schedule appointments.
Ensure smooth and efficient patient flow.
Address and resolve scheduling conflicts.
Marginal or Periodic Functions
Assist with Disaster Plan Implementation
Follow protocols during drills or actual disasters.
Coordinate with emergency response teams.
Handle Equipment Malfunctions
Report and troubleshoot technical issues.
Coordinate with IT for resolution.
Support Administrative Tasks
Assist with data entry and record-keeping.
Provide clerical support during quieter periods.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role. Basic computer skills and familiarity with scheduling software.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in a related field. 4 years of experience in a healthcare setting. Advanced proficiency in scheduling software and customer service. Certification in Healthcare Access Management (CHAM).
Salary Range
$43,500+ depending on qualifications
