MACC Mission : The Mexican American Catholic Colleges (MACC) mission is to empower and educate leaders for service in a culturally diverse Church and society by offering a biliterate multicultural formation program that can lead to a college degree in Pastoral Ministry.

Summary : This Spanish Language Teacher is essential to teaching a second language at the Mexican American Catholic College. The hired candidate will effectively and efficiently teach the Spanish language to their students.

Requirements

Position Responsibilities :

• Prepare for and effectively teach grammar phonetics typical conversation as well as specialized pastoral conversation;
• Correct homework promptly and provide feedback for students;
• Provide tutoring for students as needed;
• Coordinate classes with other teachers;
• Attend daily or weekly (as necessary) teachers meetings;
• Contribute to long-term planning and curriculum development;
• Prepare evaluations or exit forms as requested at the end of each session;
• Keep attendance records;
• Conduct oral interviews of students at the beginning of each session;
• Attend liturgy and prayer with students;
• Attend weekly program department meetings.
• Adhering to safety training and protocols daily and taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of oneself and others.
• Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information services rendered to clients donors names and gifts internal and external investigations or results of any investigations and financial information.
• Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy is mandatory.
• Every employee is required to take a solution-oriented approach in their interactions and undertakings as well as being a team member who promotes collaboration and commitment to the Mission and Vision of the organization.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

BA in Spanish or Education strongly preferred.

MA or MAT in Education preferred.
