Distinctive Features of the Finance Program

The finance program at The Citadel is designed to give students both a rigorous academic foundation and meaningful applied experiences. Housed in Bastin Hall, a new, technology-rich facility, the program integrates modern financial tools and collaborative learning spaces that prepare students for careers in personal financial planning, wealth management, and corporate finance. Here they learn to evaluate markets, develop client strategies, and practice data-driven decision-making. In addition, the Baker School’s culture of innovation and entrepreneurship—highlighted by the Baker Business Bowl competition—gives students the opportunity to develop their own business ideas and apply financial planning skills in a practical setting.

The Tommy and Victoria Baker School of Business is accredited by AACSB International and is housed in the newly constructed Bastin Hall, a modern facility designed for innovation and collaboration. The School offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs with an emphasis on leadership, applied learning, and experiential opportunities such as the Baker Business Bowl entrepreneurship competition and the Rick and Mary Lee Bastin Financial Leadership Lab.
