Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is hiring a Senior H&H Manager / Design Engineer. The position's functions will be facilitated through project work. The Senior H&H Manager is also expected to perform technical tasks on projects.

1.       Provide technical and thought leadership to Waggoner staff and clients in this discipline area.

2.       Facilitate staff development in this area.

3.       Facilitate the growth and development of this discipline at Waggoner.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include

Services Provided in this Discipline Area

Services provided in this discipline include (but may not be limited to) planning, design, and construction administration of :

1.       Roadway Drainage Systems Design (LA DOTD required)

2.       Stormwater Management

3.       Detention / Retention Pond and Outfall Design & Analysis

4.       Bridge Hydraulics and Scour Analysis

5.       Erosion Control Design & Analysis

6.       Watershed Hydrology

7.       Watershed Master Planning

8.       Open Channel Hydraulics Design & Analysis

9.       Channel Stabilization

10.     Hydraulic Modeling (HEC-RAS 1D / 2D and LA DOTD HydroWIN, FHWA HY-8 and Hydraulic Toolbox minimum)

11.   Comprehensive Planning

12.   Design of Hydraulic Structures

13.   Floodplain Mapping

14.   FEMA Regulatory Modeling and Floodplain Management

Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Serves as Waggoner’s technical lead in executing the performance of the services included in this discipline area.

Assists project managers and CAMs in the development of technical scope of work, budget, and schedule associated with the projects in this discipline.

To hire personnel previously approved.

Remains abreast of the trends and opportunities impacting the various service areas.
