Buyer Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum 5+ years of buying experience, including roles as Associate Buyer and Buyer (not Assistant Buyer).

Proven track record of driving sales results and executing successful buying strategies.

Strong analytical, financial, strategic, and planning skills.

Exceptional negotiating skills with expertise in vendor negotiations and relationship management.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Buyer Preferred Background & Skills

Previous experience with "Big Box" is a plus.

Entrepreneurial mindset with a comfort level in taking measurable risks.

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Buyer Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Source and negotiate high-quality merchandise to offer a desirable and rapidly changing mix for customers.

Analyze market trends, pricing, and fashion to make strategic decisions that drive sales and improve gross margin.

Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure effective execution of buying strategies.

Build and maintain strong vendor partnerships to secure favorable terms.

Manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing market conditions to maximize business performance.
