As the Life Enrichment Associate (Activities Assistant) you play a big part in making our resident’s lives more meaningful by assisting in the various activities. You’ll be depended upon to take the lead in encouraging resident participation and over time come to understand the individual needs of each resident.
What Cascade Living and Waterford Grand look for in a Life Enrichment Associate:
Must possess current first aid certification, and a current food handler’s or serve safe certification (Can be obtained on the job, not required for hiring)
Compassionate individuals who will represent our community in a positive and professional manner
Experience working with seniors with dementia preferred
Ability to utilize various online and computer software
Effective communicator who connects with staff, residents and their families
Demonstrate active listening techniques, gain support by treating others with dignity and respect
Strong customer service skills with ability to problem solve
Ownership attitude who is able to stay focused despite interruptions throughout the day
What you can expect to do as a Life Enrichment Associate for Waterford Grand:
Must have experience in planning, organizing and executing a varied schedule of life enrichment opportunities for all levels of seniors
Valid Driver’s license as this role will require driving residents
Assist in the creation and implementation of monthly activities calendar
Effective communicator who connects with staff, residents and their families
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to facilitate small-group presentations
Ownership attitude who is able to stay focused despite interruptions throughout the day
Innovative thinker who brings new ideas to the table
Promote the mission, values and beliefs of Cascade Living

CPR/ First Aid Certification
$21.00 - $23.00/hour
