Job Title : Occupational Therapist (OT)
Job Type : Full-Time | School-Year Contract
Overview :
We’re seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our school-based team. The ideal candidate is dedicated to helping students develop the functional, sensory, and motor skills necessary to succeed in both academic and daily activities. This role focuses on empowering students to achieve independence through individualized, evidence-based interventions and collaborative teamwork.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct evaluations to assess students’ fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, and self-help skills
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals and educational objectives
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to support students’ participation in the school environment
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and families to integrate therapy strategies within the classroom
- Document therapy sessions, progress reports, and compliance data in accordance with state and district requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and service planning discussions
- Educate school staff on adaptive equipment, sensory regulation strategies, and environmental modifications
Qualifications :
Master’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited programCurrent state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational TherapistNBCOT certification required or eligibility to obtainStrong understanding of sensory integration, fine motor development, and assistive technologyExcellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skillsPrior school-based experience preferred but not requiredBenefits :
