Lift Truck Operator III

Operates gasoline, or electric-powered industrial trucks or tractors equipped with forklift and / or elevated platform to move materials. Duties are performed under general supervision following standard work procedures and guidelines.

Major Function and Scope :

• Operates a pole, reach, clamp, or sheet truck
• Must be able to perform the following duties :
• Operates drive gasoline-, LP-, or electric-powered trucks to transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
• Operates lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
• Moves pallets, skids, and boxes, paper roll stock, and secures material or products for transport to designated areas.
• Unloads and loads raw materials from flatbed and van trailers.
• Dumps, sprays, or releases materials into hoppers.
• Performs routine maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, recharging batteries, fueling, replacing liquefied-gas tank, and completing daily Vehicle Condition Report.
• Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, cars, conveyors, or lifting devices.
• Operates or tends automatic stacking, loading, packaging, or cutting machines.
• Weighs materials or products and records weight and other production data as required.
• Operate and follow instructions as directed by an onboard RF unit.
• Records quality and output measures and completes any other necessary paperwork.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
