Cost Control Analyst

Our client is currently seeking a Cost Control Analyst for a 6+ month contract opportunity in Theodore, AL.

Overview

This role is ideal for a recent graduate eager to apply their computer skills to streamline and automate a fragmented Time & Materials (T&M) tracking and invoicing process. The position focuses on improving operational efficiency through data analysis, automation, and cross-functional collaboration. You must live locally, be willing to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current T&M workflows, including labor hours, material usage, and billing inputs
• Design and implement automated tracking and invoicing tools using Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Power Automate
• Develop dashboards and reports for project managers, finance, and leadership
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and IT to gather requirements and ensure tool integration
• Document processes and train users on new systems
• Review and verify T&M invoices for accuracy and compliance
• Cross-check invoice details with contracts, POs, and time sheets
• Maintain organized records of invoices and supporting documentation
• Communicate with project managers and vendors to resolve discrepancies
• Prepare reports summarizing invoice reviews
